Job Duties and Responsibilities: The department seeks candidates who can help meet our teaching needs in our Philosophy and Justice, Political Philosophy, and Law majors, as well as our anticipated offerings of an AI and Philosophy minor and a concentration in AI and Philosophy. The department has needs for instruction in Phil 376 (Philosophy of Law), Phil 322 (Environmental Philosophy), Phil 332 (Ethics and Global Poverty), and Phil 452 (AI, Ethics, and Society), as well as introductory philosophy and ethics courses.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Candidates must have earned a PhD in Philosophy by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Evidence of research and teaching excellence should be included in the research and teaching dossiers (see below).
