Job Duties and Responsibilities: The ideal applicant is expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program, contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in physical chemistry or related courses, and participate in departmental and university service.

Candidates are expected to have a strong record of research accomplishments in their area and teaching assignments will be determined based on the successful candidate’s area of expertise.

Candidates whose research complements or expands existing departmental strengths and provides opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration are especially encouraged to apply. Collaboration across broad areas of scientific study and participation in multi-investigator grant funding are encouraged.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
A doctorate in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field, postdoctoral training or equivalent experience, and a publication record commensurate with appointment to a doctoral training program are required.
