Job Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and maintain the NMSU enterprise server infrastructure environment, encompassing local data centers and cloud platforms. This role requires an advanced understanding of server infrastructure and design as well as system management and automation. Develop and utilize automation for server provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment. Manage, develop, and maintain scripts for administrative tasks. Manage SSL certificates to ensure secure communication across all services and applications. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance. Configure and maintain server-side networking and firewall rules to ensure optimal security and performance. Maintain and test server backups. Collaborate with or guide other IT team members to design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements. Manage or contribute to projects both internally and throughout the institution. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve system reliability and performance. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain an accurate and comprehensive knowledge base.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 7 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant experience.

Experience with managing Windows Server and Active Directory is preferred.
