Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative, fiscal, and operational support to the Assistant Vice President for Student Health & Well-Being. Responsibilities include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing communication, correspondence and reports, coordinating special projects, and serving as a liaison with campus and external partners. The position processes fiscal and procurement documents, tracks expenditures, monitors budget-related transactions, and ensures paperwork is completed and routed through appropriate approval channels. The Administrative Assistant also coordinates facility work orders and improvement projects, tracks project timelines and deliverables, maintains departmental records, and supports the daily operations of the division. The incumbent exercises independent judgment, maintains confidentiality, and assists in advancing the mission and strategic priorities of Student Health & Well-Being through effective administrative and operational coordination.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree.
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience in an office environment. Candidates must possess experience coordinating multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines; processing fiscal, procurement, or budget-related documents; and utilizing Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. The position requires strong organizational, customer service, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Special Certification/Licensure:
Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.
Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
