Job Duties and Responsibilities: Candidates should demonstrate in their application materials: 1) Ability to contribute to teaching courses on topics in Engineering Psychology and closely related areas including, but not limited to, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, and/or Graduate Statistics; 2) Strong potential for and commitment to compete for external funding; 3) Strong potential to make a significant impact in one or more research specialty areas; 4) Interest in and prospects for creative cross-disciplinary collaboration both within and across departments.

Current faculty and graduate students have active research interests in cognitive, social, and applied areas of psychology. The successful candidate will value collegiality and service to the department and institution and will be able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Psychology curriculum and serve as a research mentor to both graduate and undergraduate students.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
A Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis in a cognitive or closely related area is required (in hand by hire date).

We are looking for a candidate whose research interests fall within the domain of Cognition (basic and/or applied research) with an emphasis on Engineering Psychology, Human Factors, or Artificial Intelligence.
