Summary:  DACC, a responsive, accessible, comprehensive, learning-centered community college that provides education opportunities to a diverse community of learners is inviting candidates to apply for the following vacant position:

Classification Summary:
Conducts focused educational/training needs assessments within specified targeted adult populations; designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates a range of responsive educational curricula and training programs within defined fields of expertise.

Classification Standard Duties:
Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field. Develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives. Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works. Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs. Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods. Assists in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for individuals, communities, and/or university departments. May review instructor performance and recommend improvements to program content and/or instructor presentation methods; may recruit, select, and train instructors. May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Required Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field.; Required Experience:Three (3) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.; Equivalency:Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services.; Required Certification/License:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.; SKILLS:Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Teaching and facilitation skills. Organizing and coordinating skills. Skill in preparing instructional aids and plans.; ABILITIES:Ability to determine training objectives. Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides technical instruction and training for a variety of in-demand industries, which may include: commercial driver training, logistics and supply chain, welding, digital technologies and computer skills, web development, safety, manufacturing/production, and others.
• Assists with outreach and recruiting participants, orientation, student support services.
• Responsible for industry, business and agency outreach and program support for workforce development programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Related industry-recognized credentials preferred.

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
