Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Music at New Mexico State University is seeking an active and highly motivated individual with a strong student-centered dedication to teaching to serve as an Assistant Professor of Percussion beginning in the Fall semester of 2026. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied percussion, pedagogy, and general education courses. The successful candidate may be assigned additional duties, depending on the applicant's areas of expertise and the department's needs. All applications must be submitted electronically. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
A Master's in Percussion Performance is required.
Marching Percussion Experience is required; Previous college teaching experience is required.

Equivalent Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Successful demonstration of arranging and composition are preferred.
