Summary: NMSU Global Campus is seeking a Student Program Coordinator to support students in the application process, demonstrating multicultural competence. This role includes guiding prospective students, coordinating campus tours, and maintaining accurate records using ERP systems, ensuring a holistic and efficient journey from application to graduation.
Classification Summary:
Under limited supervision, develops, implements, and oversees a range of integrated special programs and initiatives designed to assist in the recruitment and retention of graduate and/or undergraduate students within an underrepresented target population or college. Responsible for the internal and external promotion and representation of program activities. Coordinates and provides support services to student participants as appropriate to program activities.
Classification Standard Duties:
Plans, develops, and coordinates student support programs, special projects, and other initiatives geared to the recruitment and retention of students within the targeted student population or college. Oversees and administers all facets of the day-to-day operations of the various programs and activities related to the position. Serves as primary liaison with internal and external contacts on all matters relating to the program(s) activities; represents the program(s) on a local, regional, and/or national basis. Provides and/or coordinates financial aid scholarship disbursement, academic advisement, career advisement, and/or related support to students participating in the programs; acts as student advocate, and provides day-to-day problem solving as necessary. Oversees and/or coordinates the collection and analysis of program activity data; develops, writes, edits, and presents statistical and narrative program reports and evaluations. May plans, develops, and implements strategies for identifying and generating funding and/or resource opportunities for program activities, to include development of grant and other fundraising proposals. Participates in the development of goals and objectives; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations, as appropriate to the unit. Supervises personnel which typically includes recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
NMSU Global Campus is seeking a dynamic student-centered professional for the position of Student Program Coordinator. Demonstrating a high level of multicultural competence, this position will work directly with our NMSU Global Campus students to accelerate college student success and provide a high level, intentional holistic student experience through mentorship, care, guidance, and support to students through the application process, which could include assisting student apply, and process the application.
Serves as the liaison and coordinator to educate NMSU Global Campus graduate students about admission policies and procedures, arrange for campus tours and interviews. Gather information on graduate inquiries and maintain databases for mailings and communications. Guide prospective student through the admissions process, maintain application files, contact students for additional information, and communicate the status of a student's application. Graduate Student Program Coordinator Sr will work closely with administration to regularly prepare admissions reports that include data on inquiries, applications and admitted students. Experience with ERP systems to include Banner, BDMS, SLATE, ProQuest. Maintain accurate records. Excellent documentation and organizational skills. Responsible for verifying and inputting data in a timely basis. Coordinate activities from application to graduation for assigned departments: Admissions Processing, Registration, Verify Program of Study, Verify final exam information, Thesis and Dissertation Submission, Certification of degree and certificates.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience advising online and adult learners. KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues related to oline and adult learners. SKILLS: Skill in developing and implementing new strategies and procedures focused on online and adult learner success.
