Standard Work Schedule: Shift: Other Shift

If Not a Standard Work Schedule: Mornings, Nights, Weekends, Holidays, Travel Required

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assists the head coach in planning, organizing, and conducting team practices, training sessions, and competitions.

Helps assess player skills, provides coaching in individual and team techniques, and supports position assignments.

Assists in developing and implementing game strategies and performance improvement plans.

Supports recruitment efforts by scouting prospective student-athletes, attending tournaments, and assisting with compliance to NCAA rules and regulations.

Provides guidance, mentoring, and leadership to student-athletes, fostering their athletic, academic, and personal development.

Assists with administrative tasks, including coordinating team logistics, monitoring equipment, and managing daily program operations.

Helps enforce team rules, safety procedures, and NCAA and institutional regulations.

Represents the softball program in a professional manner when interacting with students, parents, staff, and the general public.

Supports the head coach in program development, strategic planning, and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Required Education:Bachelor's degree; Required Experience:Prefer one (1) year of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.; Equivalency:Substantial directly related experience may substitute for degree required.; Required Certification/License:

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
