Summary: The Center of Innovation for Behavioral Health and Wellbeing (COI) invites you to apply for the position of Mgr,Marketing & Sales. COI address the pressing need to strengthen and expand children’s behavioral health services for families in New Mexico.
Classification Summary:
Plans, directs, or coordinates marketing policies and programs, such as determining the demand for products/services offered by a university entity, and identifies potential customers. Develops pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing profits or share of the market while ensuring the customers are satisfied. Oversee product/service development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services.
Classification Standard Duties:
Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers. Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors. Direct the hiring, training, or performance evaluations of marketing or sales staff and oversee their daily activities. Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction. Compile lists describing product or service offerings. Initiate market research studies or analyze their findings. Use sales forecasting or strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends. Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services. Consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.; The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas. The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Job Duties and Responsibilities
***POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN ANY COUNTY IN NM***
Plans, directs and coordinates all marketing and outreach for the NMSU Center of Innovation for Behavioral Health and Wellbeing, a multi-million dollar State of New Mexico funded program dedicated to expanding and improving Behavioral Health System Statewide. This position is responsible for development and implementation of a marketing strategic plan, policies and developing an outreach strategy to ensure program sustainability through ongoing funding. This position will identify and oversee engagement with community stakeholders to assess the need for services offered by the Center of Innovation. Responsible for developing pricing strategies and pursing funding opportunities with the goal of maximizing market presence among the community. Develop evaluation strategies to oversee program/service development and monitor state trends that indicate the need for new programs and services. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of State of New Mexico and University policy and procedures, knowledge of New Mexico State Agencies that work with/for children and families. Budgeting and computer skills, strong personnel management skills and program administration knowledge and skills. Strong communication abilities with diverse populations also required. Knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics. Knowledge of business management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Strong leadership skills.
