Job Duties and Responsibilities: Create and facilitate mathematics education professional learning for K-5 teachers and principals to strengthen content and pedagogical knowledge in elementary math that leads to improved student learning outcomes. The position requires expertise in K-5 mathematics progression of content standards; demonstration of exemplary classroom practices; extensive knowledge of educational research; experience in the design of online and in-person professional development for teachers; and extensive experience in facilitation of educator learning. The position will also evaluate and critique current micro-credential courses and engage in continuous review and revision of professional develop courses. Position requires masters degree in education or related field.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Master’s Degree in Education in a specialized field as defined in the position description + 4 years or relevant experience.

Equivalent Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 
NM Level 2 or 3 Teaching License and minimum of five years classroom teaching experience.
Experience Canvas Course design.

Special Certification/Licensure: 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed indoors.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
