Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Accountant Intermediate position is primarily responsible for the following duties: Customer service (NMDA/NMSU staff and public); liaison for NMDA divisions and main campus; grant application submissions; grant budgeting and index/fund requests; grant expenditure monitoring, financial reporting and analysis; grant agency reporting and closeout documentation processing; Procurement Card approvals for all NMDA cardholders; receiving and processing deposits for NMDA divisions (backup); verifying deposits for NMDA division; assisting with NMDA motor pool; assisting with NMDA facilities coordination; processing and submitting system access forms for NMDA staff; creating and submitting journal vouchers; systems training both written and in person; creating and maintaining standard operating procedures; purchasing, receiving and payment processing.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
