Job Duties and Responsibilities: Will serve as the primary liaison for Ag Science Center Farmington with AES Director’s Office on basic administrative and/or operational matters. Position will work closely with ASC Farmington Research Coordinator and ASC Farmington Farm Manager to ensure all operations are running smoothly, and all questions and concerns are addressed and resolved. Performs basic, routine bookkeeping functions, which may involve simple billing and cash receipt activities, providing budget reports for faculty members, reconciliation of expenditures, and maintenance of purchasing contracts. Performs a range of staff and/or operational support activities such as initiating the process of hiring students, temporary/seasonal employees, and preparing requests to fill permanent job vacancies within the center. Arranges meetings and conferences, schedule interviews, and appointments, and performs other duties related to maintaining one or more individual schedules. Makes travel and lodging arrangements for faculty, staff, students, and visiting individuals such as potential candidates, speakers, and presenters. Assist with event planning and preparation for community outreach events, NMSU events, and/or center tours. Will maintain, establish, and update files, records, and other documents such as employee records, inventory records, and vehicle records. Operate various computer systems to enter data, draft, edit, revise, and print letters, tables, reports, and other materials. Accept, screen and route telephone calls. Prepares responses to routine email inquiries. Orders, stocks, and distributes office supplies. Sorts, screens, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Greets and directs visitors. May instruct and oversee the activities of student employees performing the same type of work. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree.
