Job Duties and Responsibilities: With a dual reporting relationship to the directors of the respective units, serves as the first point of contact for the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) and Office of People Relations (OPR). Performs the daily administrative duties within the OPR and OIE offices. Maintains confidential case files and supporting materials, including retention/ disposition. Preserve and prepare documents and case files for legal requests; Schedule and track training facilitated by OIE throughout the University system;
Manage and provide internal training on the University’s case management system and software;
Assist in ensuring compliance with case creation, timeliness, and closure within the case management system;
Processes all Personnel Action Forms for the OPR and OIE offices; discipline, employee relations, labor relations, Title IX, Title VII and Title VI. Prepares and edits correspondence and forms for OPR and OIE. Prepares reports and metrics in support of the department's operations. Responsible for administrative functions in the absence of the executive admin for the AVP HR. Performs case intake, scheduling and recording of hearings and investigation interviews, labor management committee meetings. Manages the Exit Interview/Questionnaire process, case trend analysis and records requests. Under the direction of the supervisor, provides guidance on NMSU policy and union contract policies/procedures. Assists with research, revision and delivery of training programs. Provides assistance to Consultants with case management, document creation/revision, process troubleshooting.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
