Summary:  New Mexico State University's Department of Management is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.

Classification Summary:
New Mexico State University's Department of Management is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. New Mexico State University holds business and accounting accreditation by AACSB International. This position will start August 18, 2025. The position is targeting new PhDs seeking their initial Tenure Track appointment or early career Assistant Professors. Faculty currently at the rank of Associate Professor are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to applicants having research and teaching interests in Human Resource Management.

Classification Standard Duties:
Position duties include publishing research, teaching, advising students, and service to the department, college, university, and community. The position requires continued scholarly activity, including research publications in refereed academic journals. The initial teaching course load is a 2/2 load for the first three academic years; thereafter, the teaching load will generally rise to the current standard for the department of 5 classes per year.

Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Applicants must possess an earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited institution in Management, or doctorate in a closely related discipline to Human Resource Management or Organizational Behavior by the date of hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidates should have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication, and competency to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and staff. Applicants should have experience in classroom teaching, with demonstrated teaching effectiveness. Candidates must also have a solid record of scholarly research publication, or the promise of publication (i.e., for new PhDs), commensurate with their career level and requisite experience in the academic profession. Motivation to pursue external research funding and work on multidisciplinary teams is desirable.
