Summary: Join the PSL team as a Grants Coord
Classification Summary:
Coordinates the pre-award planning, organization, and preparation, and the post-award modification administration of grants assigned to one or more research and/or departments of the university. Interacts with investigators and administrative staff to ensure that grants are in compliance with regulatory, funding agency, and policy requirements. Provides guidance and support to investigators in the identification and development of grant opportunities.
Classification Standard Duties:
Prepare & submit proposals, ensuring compliance with all Federal & State regulations. Review, negotiate and process awards and modifications. Provide assistance and guidance to college research centers and P.I.'s on various issues required to submit proposals, process and administer awards. Remain current on changes and updates to Federal, State and University regulations and policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of current developments/trends in area of expertise. Knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, federal and university regulations. Knowledge of federal, state and/or community funding sources and mechanisms. Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures. Knowledge of potential sources of health care contract and grant funding.; SKILLS:Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Database management skills. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.; ABILITIES:Ability to develop and produce grants and other proposals. Ability to determine informational needs, to collect and analyze information, and to devise and develop statistical analyses and reports. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections. Ability to provide technical advice and information to faculty and staff in area of expertise. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Submit monthly reports to the PI’s and Division Managers in relationship to actual expense vs. budgets, monthly labor spending by employee. Works closely with Research Administration Services (RAS) on new contract proposals and both RAS and Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) for all contract changes and SPA for contract reporting. Supports any fiscal related audits requested by ONR or the Defense Contracting Audit Agency (DCAA), or any other governmental agency. Works closely with SPA to close out all Federal and Private Contracts as they are completed. Calculates and submits SCA wage adjustments in compliance with contract obligations each payroll period. - Processes Electronic Labor Redistribution (ELR) as required. - Processes contract paperwork to establish new funds and indexes for contracts as required.

Special Requirements of the Position
Must be US citizen.
Ability to obtain a government secret clearance within one year is required. Must maintain secret clearance throughout employment.
