Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is NOT a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Plans, coordinates and implements a federally funded academic success component for 350 college students.
• Services a caseload of 150 students as they navigate through college processes (Financial Aid, Scholarship, Academic and Professional environment) who are first-generation, may have a financial need or may have a disability.
• Caseload includes assessing needs and monitoring participants with academic challenges, overall GPA below 2.0.
• Makes participant referrals to campus and community resources.
• Plans, creates, and implements the TRIO SSS Program activities calendar and workshop fliers
• Assists with student recruitment activities.
• Present TRIO SSS information across campus as requested.
• Maintains recordkeeping procedures and manages appropriate department records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and standards.
• Prepares semester and annual reports in evaluation of TRIO SSS Program and the Academic Success Component
• Assists with the TRIO Student Support Services Annual Performance Report to the United States Department of Education.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 7 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
