Summary: NMSU Global Campus seeks an experienced Associate Director of Global Marketing to drive strategic campaigns, boost enrollments, and enhance brand visibility for online programs. The ideal candidate has a strong marketing background, leadership skills, and a passion for online education.
Classification Summary:
Supports the Director of Global Marketing, Web & Brand Development in implementing marketing policies and strategies to achieve the university's goals. The Associate Director is responsible for executing marketing initiatives and campaigns to expand market presence, increase brand recognition, and engage target audiences. They assist in market research, program development, and maintaining alignment with established marketing objectives.
Classification Standard Duties:
Supports the Director in translating high-level strategies into actionable marketing plans and coordinates their implementation with advertising and promotion managers; oversees specific marketing campaigns, assessing performance and adjusting tactics as needed to ensure alignment with objectives; conducts and analyzes market research to identify trends, target audiences, and competitive insights - communicates findings to inform strategic decisions; assists in managing campaign budgets, monitoring expenditures to stay within limits, and evaluating ROI for continuous improvement; collaborates on developing customer retention and engagement strategies to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty; supports and coordinates promotional activities, including digital and in-person events, to increase product and service visibility; provides input on staff hiring and training, and offers mentorship and guidance to junior marketing staff as delegated by the Director; monitors campaign metrics and prepares reports on marketing effectiveness and key performance indicators to recommend adjustments for continuous improvement; performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a marketing or communications role with direct responsibilities in campaign execution, market research, or promotion. Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and directly related experience as approved by HRS.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
NMSU Global Campus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assc Dir, Global Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and meet our enrollment goals for degree programs and microlearning courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, team management, and a passion for promoting education in an online learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns to attract prospective students, increase enrollments, and enhance brand visibility for NMSU Global Campus.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy Development:
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote degree programs for each of our 5 colleges.
Collaborate with the Director of Global Marketing, college deans, and faculty to align marketing strategies with academic goals and target audiences.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of marketing specialists, including digital marketers, content creators, graphic designers, and marketing analysts.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to achieve marketing objectives and deliver high-quality campaigns.
Campaign Management:
Plan, create, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, email marketing, social media, content marketing, and events.
Monitor campaign performance, analyze metrics, and optimize strategies to maximize ROI and achieve enrollment targets.
Brand Management:
Ensure consistency and alignment with NMSU Global Campus brand guidelines across all marketing materials and channels.
Develop and maintain brand messaging that resonates with target audiences and differentiates NMSU Global Campus from competitors.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with college leadership, academic departments, admissions teams, and external partners to support marketing initiatives and enrollment efforts.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and external agencies to enhance marketing effectiveness.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and audience segmentation to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies.
Utilize data analytics tools to track performance, measure KPIs, and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Budget Management:
Manage the marketing budget for NMSU Global Campus, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Track spending, monitor expenses, and provide regular budget reports to the Director of Marketing.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
