Classification Summary:
Develops and coordinates a wide variety of marketing programs and activities. May serve as a media and/or recruitment contact. Writes and/or edits marketing and promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and other documents; coordinates, attends, and represents the organization at special marketing events.
Classification Standard Duties:
Writes and edits copy for promotional and informational materials such as catalogs and brochures. Responds to requests for information from the media and public; distributes promotional materials, including flyers, brochures and press kits; prepares and presents information to internal and external sources. Assists in designing, coordinating, and presenting marketing programs, publicity efforts, and advertising campaigns; participates in identification and resolution of related problems. As appropriate to the position, plans or assists with planning and coordinating special events such as open houses, book signings, fundraisers, outreach and community events, tours, press conferences, banquets, exhibits, product or service fairs, and/or athletic events. Conducts, or assists in conducting portions of market research activities to identify targeted populations, which may include potential underwriters and sponsors, and to identify the appropriate media for distribution of promotional information. Maintains database records and files including mailing and contributor or donor lists and publication distribution information. May lead and/or guide the work of others including volunteers. Oversees the production of routine promotional printed materials. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Required Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field.; Required Experience:One (1) year of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.; Equivalency:Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services.; Required Certification/License:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques. Knowledge of marketing media and funding sources. Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.; SKILLS:Database management skills.; ABILITIES:Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate media activities and special events. Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of clientele and/or media sources.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares payroll deduction feeds twice a month. Maintains enrollment forms information for all programs (AggieFit, Swimming, Camps). Sends ID Card Services daily enrollment spreadsheets/CSV files. Supports activities to promote membership and enrollmen
