Classification Summary:
Under general supervision designs, implements, and administers complex business critical, multi-tiered enterprise applications.
Classification Standard Duties:
Works collaboratively with IT and Business partners to effectively and efficiently maintain, support and enhance enterprise business applications. Defines and performs routine and maintenance practices related to application/system administration. Partners with assigned business areas to understand their business processes, and configures changing business needs as enhancements into new and/or existing solutions applying change management best practices. Gathers and defines usability, reliability, and performance requirements; Develops system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity and recommends actionable solutions to address adoption issues and improve operational efficiency. With a strong customer service focus, collaborates with Help Desk to respond to requests from business users - creatively resolves issues, answers questions and clarifies business processes, designs and develops enhancements, troubleshoots and fixes bugs. Works collaboratively with Integration and ERP teams to implement and maintain integrations across enterprise business applications. Develops data quality/hygiene check and database maintenance plans and monitor overall system health, as necessary. Additional duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Required Education: Bachelors degree: Two (2) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined;
Equivalency: Completion of a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience.; Required Certification/License:
Equivalency: Associates Degree: Completion of a two-year degree may count as two years of experience, with an additional four years of relevant work experience. GED: with six years of directly related work experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:analysis, design, implementation, maintenance and support of business applications,; SKILLS:Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills; Understands how other aspects of the IT environment such as hardware infrastructure, network design, storage architecture, and integrations can impact application maintenance and support. Capable of working with other teams (ERP, Infrastructure, and others) to troubleshoot problems.; ABILITIES:ability to write usable technical documentation, ability to document and follow recurring procedures, guide and provide instructions to users at all levels, make presentations to an internal audience, and interacts positively with other teams.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the management and support of the Student Information Management applications and technology solutions. Tests, troubleshoots, corrects and uses tools to resolve application problems. Escalates issues to Student Information Management team and 3rd party vendors. Answers questions and resolve issues with applications and escalates or closes tickets as necessary. Ensures integration between systems. Supports end users by developing reporting tools, supplying training and technical support and/or documentation. Performs other duties as assigned.
