Classification Summary:
Under supervision, performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult, but usually involves limited responsibility. Responsible for overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.
Classification Standard Duties:
Designs, implements/installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. Generally focuses on projects for one of the following disciplines: Unix, Windows, AS400, storage, reporting, testing, middleware, or other software.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Server Management: Oversee all DACC servers, both physical and virtual, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Virtualization Expertise: Manage hypervisors like VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V to create a reliable and robust virtual environment.
• Storage Solutions: Manage our storage area network and storage networking systems to ensure data accessibility and security.
• Identity Management: Administer identity providers, including Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Microsoft 365 Administration: Take charge of our Microsoft 365 tenant, including user provisioning and licensing, and ensure applications like Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint are properly configured and maintained.
• Cloud Collaboration: Act as a liaison between cloud providers and DACC users, overseeing the technical aspects of our cloud implementations.
• Security Champion: Protect our systems by establishing and enforcing security guidelines based on industry best practices.
• Data Governance: Define rules and permissions for data access, ensuring compliance and security.
• Infrastructure Teamwork: Work with the network team and other IT units on projects like data center design or VoIP collaboration tools management.
• Problem Solver: Track and resolve IT issues, helping to maintain an excellent level of user support.
• Mentorship Role: Serve as a technical resource for our IT technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
